She just knew.

They waddled.

And they waddled fast-as soon as they heard us, danger? she just knew what to do.

Four tiny ducklings waddling,

Hurried-

Slightly panicked.

trying to keep up with her quick hurried pace.

Down the sidewalk, following.

She leads.

Across the street they go,

Careful and connected,

towards the neighborhood golf course,

into a tall patch of green grass.

Her head becoming more distant.

And then they were gone,

Perhaps heading towards a pond.

Safe,

Home.

She just knew what to do.
